The ladder

You do not buy a rank. You rent one, for exactly as long as the arithmetic says.
Durations are the Burn, computed: Bid = paid × 0.95 ^ hours, off the Board under $0.50. Bids are non-refundable.
The burn
Everything here only goes down.
The decay is mechanical. There is no sales team to negotiate with and no way to hold a rank without paying again.
It never fills up
Ranks expire continuously, so the top is always for sale. The emptiest state is also the cheapest offer.
It cannot be gamed
There are no votes, no stars and no scrape freshness. The only input is money, and money is visible.
It is a spectacle
People come to watch figures evaporate and stay to see what is at #1. The watchers are the inventory.
The bust wall

When a Bid falls under $0.50 the row leaves the Board and the record stays here forever.

Bids are non-refundable. Links are checked before publishing, and an entry removed under the rules is not refunded either. That is stated here, on the bid page, and in /rules.json.
